Kate Russell is in long term recovery, and her passion for this work comes from her own experience. She has a deep commitment to helping women in early recovery—especially those working toward reunification with their children. She is a local real estate agent and often serves as a resource for individuals in the recovery community who are working toward homeownership. Kate is also co-founder of Russell Recovery Sober Living, where she has worked closely with individuals navigating early recovery and the challenges of securing stable housing. She remains actively involved in the recovery community, regularly sharing her experience, strength, and hope with others.
Adam Russell
Co Founder & Board President
Adam Russell is in long-term recovery, and brings both personal experience and professional insight to his work. He owns a construction company where he specializes in transforming distressed properties into safe, livable homes. Adam is also a co-founder of Russell Recovery Sober Living, where he supports individuals in recovery through structured housing programs. His combined experience in construction and recovery services gives him a unique, practical understanding of the housing challenges people face after treatment. Adam is deeply committed to helping others rebuild their lives and stays actively involved in outreach, regularly speaking at treatment centers and supporting individuals in the early stages of recovery.
Paul Hempel
Co Founder & Board Treasurer
Paul Hempel has been managing recovery homes since 2010 and brings over a decade of hands-on experience supporting individuals in early recovery. He currently works for Recovery Centers of America and is deeply rooted in the recovery community. With over 15 years of sobriety, Paul brings both professional expertise and lived experience to the organization. He is widely respected as a leader and mentor and plays a key role in guiding program development and ensuring that services meet the real needs of those transitioning out of treatment. As Treasurer, he provides financial oversight and helps ensure responsible stewardship of organizational funds.
